St Mary's Church, Threlkeld

Situated in the middle of the village, St Mary's was re-built in 1776 and restored in 1910. The bell tower is believed to be part of the previous church and the bells are over 600 years old.

The Rector is Rev Bryan Rothwell (who also looks after the churches at St John's in the Vale & Wythburn and the Diocesan Youth Centre at St John's).

Holy Communion services are held at 9.30 am every Sunday - usually the fourth Sunday each month is joint with the Methodists. Visitors are always welcome

Special services are held at other times such as Easter, Harvest and Christmas.

There is usually a Lent Course each year.
