Threlkeld Walks

The Parish (as part of the Parish Plan work) has published a set of six leaflets describing walks around the Parish.

Each has a sketch map and description with other information about the Parish.

All start from near the pubs. The routes utilise paths mostly, though there is some roadside walking.

1 Fellside and Farmland easy 40 min Superb views from upper part
2 Woods, fields & an Old Railway Track easy 2 1/4 hours Long but easy with one steep section. Part uses the Railway Footpath
3 The Fell Wall Walk easy 40 min Up to the fell wall, along it and back across the fields. Super views.
4 A Riverside Walk easy level 30 min Gentle walk mainly by the river Glenderamackin
5 A Stroll through Threlkeld Village easy 20 min Quick walk round the centre of the Parish
6 Riverside & Fellside mostly easy 2 1/2 hours Stunning combination of revier and fell side territory. One awkward scramble which can be avoided
