Please do not park near the junctions with A66, between the Church and the War Memorial (narrow and twisty). Please leave all accesses clear.
There are designated carparks at:
| Dickney | proceed up Blease Road about 500 yards. Good starting point for direct walks up Blencathra | |
| Threlkeld Public Room | there are Public Toilets here too | |
| Threlkeld Station | proceed south along B5233 about half a mile taking second turn left (signposted to Mining Museum) the car park is alomost immediately on your left | |
There is also space for parking at:
| Station Road | Opposite the War Memorial (This is not a Through Road) | |
| above Blencathra Centre | proceed up Blease Road until you have crossed a cattle grid. Do not drive further than the car park. Ideal starting point for walks - Blease Fell and Blencathra or for Skiddaw House | |
| Scales | There are two lay-bys near the White Horse Inn. The highest start for Blencathra by Scales Tarn |
