He was a Huntsman of the Ullswater Pack between 1879 and 1924 in Patterdale,WES,ENG.⁽¹⁸⁷⁾ (1879-1921 - see Reminiscences of Joe Bowman and the Ullswater Foxhounds 1921) 4 year gap per Elizabeth Little "Chronicles of patterdale" (Difficult to read inscription which does not tally with Chronicles He died in 1940.⁽¹⁸⁷⁾ He was a ?Miner.)
