Sometime after children were baptised in 1740s (last before William 1748 ? William bap Harrington) possibly moved to Harrington in West Cumberland, returning to Matterdale 1763 (M Cole)

He married Susan RUMNEY (daughter of Thomas RUMNEY) on 9 Feb 1740 in Watermillock, CUL, ENG. Susan RUMNEY was born in 1718. ^(7)(22) and was baptised on 11 Dec 1718 in Matterdale, CUL, ENG.⁽²³⁾ Mentioned in will of son Rev Timothy Martin of Distington - 24 Aug 1810 in PCY, York, ENG.⁽²⁴⁾ She died after 24 Oct 1810 in Matterdale, CUL, ENG.^{(25) (26)} and was buried on 16 Nov 1810 in Matterdale, CUL, ENG.⁽²⁷⁾ widow of Dockray age 92 She was aunt of diarist Tom Rumney of Mellfell
